Invites

Picture
This invitation suite was submitted to a Cards & Pockets design contest in 2009 I believe. You can't imagine how horrified I was to find out that it didn't win. Especially because this, compared to the winner, was over 1000x better. After contacting the designer and receiving a seriously outrageous quote, I decided, as usual, that I could do it myself! Of course, right? It's what I do.

In comes Microsoft Publisher....

The Mockup

Picture
♥LOVE♥
I love these colors! Everything is from Cards and Pockets. That's a Perfetto, 6" square pocket in Clementine and the invite is sitting on a Milk Chocolate Mat. Not pictured is an Argyle belly band in Meadow with a brown monogram square and monogram. All tucked into a Metallic Meadow mailing envelope.

Invite Update

The assembly line
Since time was running short I realized I wouldn't have the time to have everything shipped from C&P. So I ran down to Micheal's and found this gorgeous BRIDES invite set. It's orange and brown, and the square pocket style that I wanted, so I was happy with my find.

There were 30 in the box, and I think I have 6 left over. A little measuring and reworking  the layout in Publisher and I was all set!. I was happy to get compliments on how nice they were.

Photo Scavenger Hunt

Picture
Card 1 of 5

To save some photography costs, we're leaving him on the beach! He'll be taking a million and one pics at the ceremony and afterward with us and the kids, but he won't be at the reception.

So we're leaving it up to our guests to be our reception photographers. I'm placing disposable cameras on the tables next to a little printed card like this one. There are 5 of them and they each have different pictures to capture. Hopefully we'll get some good pics out of this.

Day of Timeline

Picture
A super rough timeline, as things have changed a bit since I made this.

Can I just say how much fun I had making this? Seriously, I was almost sad once it was finished. Good thing I get to modify it now!

Feel free to contact me for a template.

Favor Labels

Picture
These are the labels that will be applied to the favor bottles. I'm using Avery Multi-use labels (#5444) that are 2"x4". Just a simple label with our names and wedding date, and an ingredients list and expiration date at the other end.

Photo-sharing Cards

Picture
Small, business card-sized pieces that we'll place in a card holder next to the favors and also include in the thank you cards.
